ABC27 reporter announces he’s leaving station for DC job



ABC27 announced on their Facebook page that they are saying goodbye to reporter Daniel Hamburg today.

“We wish him the best of luck in his [future] efforts,” the post said in part.

On his own Facebook page, Hamburg announced that he is leaving Penn Central to take a job as a reporter at WDVM in Washington, DC

“I never thought I’d be a Pennsylvania resident for almost six years, but I’ve really enjoyed my time in the Commonwealth,” he said. “I can’t wait to tell stories in our nation’s capital!!”

A native of North Potomac, Md., Hamburg joined ABC27 in December 2018 as a multimedia journalist, according to the station’s website.

He previously worked at WJAC-TV in Johnstown as a multimedia journalist and as a reporter/video journalist at WLNS-TV in Lansing, Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University.
