The lightweights were in action in week six of the 2023 PFL Challenger Series, returning to the Fubo Sports Network on Friday, March 3.

A spot in the league’s regular season was on the line as eight fighters squared off in Orlando, Florida. Last season, British standout Brendan Loughnane won it all, completing a journey that began when he was overlooked Dana White’s Contender Seriesturned down UFC contract despite dominant performance.

Who would join Loughnane in the PFL regular season? Mexican featherweight Brahyan Zurcher headlines Friday’s five-fight card, looking at his toughest test to date in David Evans. Undefeated at 4-0 heading into the night, Zurcher told Cageside Press that he hopes to be named Rookie of the Year this season.

SBG Ireland’s Nate Kelly, winner of six straight tournaments, was also in action, paired with Zachary Hicks. Hicks won three fights in 2022, two by submission, after missing all of 2021.

Week 6 of the 2023 PFL Challenger Series takes place at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, with the event streaming beginning at 9:00 PM ET. Full results from Friday’s card can be found below.
