Japan’s RIZIN Battle Federation was back in action on Sunday, October 23, 2022, with RIZIN 39 sinking at Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan.
The event was headlined by a featherweight title fight that saw former KSW Kleber star Koike Erbst challenge champion Juntaro Ushiku for the RIZIN Featherweight Championship. For Koike, the opportunity has been a long time coming, and he has racked up six straight battle victories – including five under the RIZIN banner.
The RIZIN 39 card also features familiar names such as Yusuke Yachi and UFC veteran Daichi Abe, as well as Zach Zane, a 2019 Contender Series graduate who has also competed for LFA, Eagle FC, Bellator MMA and on the goal-boxing side of things , BKFC.
